Early Bird

Pushing back a crisp leaf with his arm, Feidlimid peered from his makeshift home of aging leaves and bark. Uncertain about how long he'd been asleep, his amber eyes scanned for a sign of time; and the lush greenery made it clear then. "I've gotten up too soon," he grumbled, huddling amongst his crunchy blankets again. "It is not quite yet winter"

FAAAIIRRIEESSSS - or something like that, idek what they are but they're tiny people I keep on drawing. Feidlimid is one of these - he lives in the woods but is only ever active in the winter time, when a lonesome snow owl who is his familiar is around.
